![]() This is despite listening to a lot of music that operates outside of 'normal' conventions. Often I try to write music with something like a 5/ or a 7/ but it ends up becoming too confusing, and the seed idea makes it back to boring old 4/4. Although mostly there is a warm comfort to their style, that it clicks with my brain even when I have no idea of what meter they are in. ![]() Do you use 'odd' time signatures in your music? I listened to a new Tool song the other day, and true to the band's form, they utilize some lesser-heard meters, and what seems at times to often shift between different several, within the same song (maybe even withing the same verse!). ![]() This topic is two-fold, so all contributions are welcome.ฤก. ![]()
